A lot of people assume pressure washing a deck is simple - just point and blast. But wood doesn't work that way. Too much pressure and you're shredding the grain, raising fibers, and cutting the life of your deck short. The result looks worse than when you started.

What it actually takes is the right combination of cleaning solution, controlled pressure, and technique. We pre-treat the surface to break down the grime, mold, and algae that build up over time. Then we work the pressure carefully - enough to lift the buildup, not enough to tear into the wood.

You can see the difference in real time as the work progresses. The cleaned portion of the deck shows the natural wood tone coming back through, warm and even, without any of the fuzzy texture that comes from going too aggressive with the nozzle. That's not an accident. That's the process working the way it's supposed to.

Getting a deck cleaned the right way also sets it up for staining or sealing down the road. A clean, open wood surface holds a finish far better than one that was blasted and left rough. So beyond the curb appeal, there's a practical reason to care about how the cleaning gets done.

If your deck has been sitting under a layer of grime and green growth, it probably has more life left in it than it looks. It just needs the right touch to get it back.
